Evolution works on different principles than a mechanistic structure. Life functions as a process not as a machine; it is unfinished and in the process of being completed by participation. Thus we need to create new structures to fit the moment; when the needs change, so too do the structures. It is time to “de-engineer” our thinking, which means examining how mechanistic we have become – even in our treatment of one another.
